Genius, Madness
The genius creates his insanity as a means to overcoming his boredom. His surroundings are lax; his intelligence demands constant stimulation. Thus madness is a means to fufilling this need. It is through madness that the genius sustains his intelligence; without it he falters, becomes stagnant with the stolid minds he finds him surrounded with.
